What is 48 in 48?

I went to 48 European countries in less than 48 months while living in Krakow, Poland. It started as just a fun goal to go to what I thought were all the countries of Europe (there are actually 51). But now it’s about more than that. It’s about creating a lifestyle that doesn’t just include travel, but is built around travel. It’s about setting goals and completing them. It’s about discovery and self-improvement. And of course, it’s about seeing as much of the earth as we can in the short time we’re given on it.

I’ve just completed my 48 in 48 travel goal! Have any suggestions for the countries I still haven’t been to? Know any great places that I missed? Leave a comment or contact:

I'm interested in these countries:

I realize that the number of European countries is debatable. The first 48 in the name does not refer to ALL the European countries. Instead it simply means that I intend to go to 48 different European countries in as many months. For my own personal purposes, the above countries would each count toward my 48. This list is not meant to make any political statements or diminish the importance of different areas to the European community.
